À propos de l'auteur

Gerardo Ivan Hannel grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and went to Yale University and Northwestern University School of Law. He is a practicing attorney in Arizona. For 20 years, he has taught a workshop based on effective questioning, which is called "A Pedagogy of Questioning" (APOQ). Ivan's parents, Drs. Lee and Maria Hannel, were the original developers of the pedagogical approach focusing on questioning, basing their work off the earlier work of Dr. Reuven Feuerstein of Israel, a renown psychologist (Piaget called Dr. Feuerstein a "genius"). Ivan believes that when teachers learn the fundamental of questioning, focusing on creating a hierarchy of mental acts in the mind of students, the outcomes is a better understanding of the patterns inherent in content. Ivan also believes that it is very important to focus on creating participating so that all students benefit from questioning, not just the few who volunteer or those higher-level students who seem to enjoy questions. Ivan hopes his work will help your teaching and has received very positive reports from all over the world about APOQ.
