Jennifer Smith is an artist, iconographer, and author of Among the Perishable Stars: Selected Poems, and The Fly in the Ointment: The Mysteries of Mary Magdalene. Although her ancestors are indeed from rural Tennessee, after extensive genealogical research she has yet to find any evidence of a family connection to the Watchers.
