Biographie de l'auteur

Jannie Harding was born in Temple, Texas on January 9, 1928 to Phillip and Katherine Cortese. Her parents immigrated from Sicily in the early 1900's and settled in Little River, Texas. She was raised on the family farm there and graduated from Academy High School, class of 1945. After graduation, she worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for two years before entering nursing school at Shannon Memorial Hospital in San Angelo, Texas. She joined the Air Force several years later in her nursing career, in 1954, where she met and married her first husband Henry H Bettis Jr. She had four children, three girls, one boy. In 1984, Jannie retruned to college and attended Texas State Technical Institute in Waco, Texas and obtained her degree in Horticulture and Floriculture. Her hobbies are sewing, fishing, and reading. She resides in Temple, Texas.
