Synopsis

Welcome to Camden, N.J., a city Walt Whitman once described as "invincible" that has now been labeled "the most dangerous city in America". It is also called "home" by the thousands who live here. Take the author's grace-filled journey into the heart of 21st century urban ministry as he chronicles the city's favorite son, Fr. Bob McDermott, who seeks to revitalize a hopeless city by listening to and believing in a God who speaks through those considered "hopeless".

Biographie de l'auteur

My name is Sharon Vojtko, since I was in grade school I've always wrote little poems, we had a writing class in eight grade and I came in third. I always enjoyed putting words on paper. I had a binder of over one hundred poems and last them in our house fire. By now I had a family and they took all my time. When my first husband died I made a bucket list, writing a book was one of the most important this I wanted to do. As I marked things off one at a time, since I remarried and Ron love to travel it gave me time to think and put my ideas in writing. Since we moved to Florida in 1994 I have had many mishaps, right now I'm fighting stage two cancer, I've had surgery and doing chemo now. I'm looking forward to a better life soon. I love to sit out on the patio and write, it gives me a quite time to myself. Well this is my book Poems and short stories, some of the stories are part true and some not. I hope there is something that each of you enjoy. Thank you for your time.
