À propos de l'auteur

Dee Santiago is a Georgia native who is part Native American and has extensive knowledge of Hispanic and Native American cultures. She has been painting portraits and works of art for most of her life and has a degree in Spanish. An interesting background for her stories is provided by her experiences of living in both the mountains and swamplands of Georgia. Presently, her family and one sassy Siamese cat live with the author in the southern part of the state, near a swamp, where a wide variety of wildlife live. As a member of the Georgia Writers Association and Young Adult Library Services Association, the author feels that young readers should be entertained while being educated. Grams and Old Grunt is her first book in a series of humerous adventure stories that portray Hispanics and Native Americans in a positive light.
