Jerry Perlet’s Dragon Stories 2, George and Zoe’s Adventures with the Dragon is a continuation of the dragon adventures from Volume 1---Sara’s Adventures. The first dragon story was told to a group of students at Monocacy Elementary School in Montgomery County, Maryland as they waited for a late bus. The setting comes from Sugarloaf Mountain and the many farm houses in the area. The adventures with the dragon were created as a part of the quarterly school assemblies. As I moved to Sherwood Elementary School, I shared the stories there as well. The children and their parents often asked where they could buy the books that I was telling the stories from. I explained that they came out of my head as I told them and there was no book. Many families have asked to have the tales written out. Over the years, the students have asked many questions and contributed many ideas to the stories. There are so many now that I have divided them into two volumes. The first is Sara’s Adventures with the Dragon followed by George and Zoe’s Adventures with the Dragon. I am also working on audio versions of the Dragon Stories. I have retired from the Montgomery County Public schools in Maryland after 38 years in teaching and as an elementary principal. I have already released my first two books, Adventures with Grandpa Ek: Washington DC and Adventures with Grandpa Ek: Annapolis, available at Amazon.com. Many other stories are in their beginning stages to be released in the future.
