Synopsis

All Alex wants is for his life to go smoothly like any ordinary guy, but he's a daydreamer. Not only that, but all he has to do is think of something and it happens. He tries to keep it a secret from his friends, but they know. They think of his good fortune as nothing more than coincidence. What they don't know and what Alex doesn't know is that women play a magical role in his life. He just doesn't realize it. Alex's friend, Hughbella, a deceased Blackfoot Indian, visits him in his sleep to remind him of the occult knowledge he must remember to become an Observer. This goes against Alex's desire to be ordinary. He resists Hughbella's reminders, so her work is cut out for her. When Alex violates one of the rules of an Observer, he puts the life of his best friend, Munch, in danger. The rule is, "There is no teaching", but Alex tries anyway and learns the importance of that rule. What scares Alex is Hughbella's increasing ability to see into the future, and that she's been preparing him for that all along.
