Author J.P. Ruiz is the father of four children, two beautiful girls and two wonderful boys. He is married to the most beautiful and gracious woman in the world, Esmeralda Ruiz (Emmy). Emmy also helps him with editing. Ruiz is a disabled veteran of the Gulf War. He worked as a Law Enforcement officer for over ten years where he specialized in crimes against children. Ruiz investigated cases of all types of child abuse and neglect. God gave him a heart to minister to children through his books. Ruiz and his family serve on the ministry team at his church’s children's program. He has been called to the ministry to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children and their parents through his stories. Ruiz states, "The books I write are not mine, they belong to Jesus Christ and I pray they bless your life and lives of those you share them with."
