Mike Foley is former editor of Dream Merchant Magazine and author of more than 750 published stories and articles. His work has appeared in such publications as The Dream Merchant, Orange Coast, Cream City Review, Mothering, VSA Travel and High Country Life. Mike has also taught fiction and nonfiction writing in the extension program at UC-Riverside and many other schools. In 1995, he co-founded the Big Bear Writer’s Retreat, a 15-year project that offered writers a chance to gather for writing practice and inner renewal. Since 1986, he has also operated the Writer’s Review critique service, helping hundreds of aspiring writers improve their fiction and nonfiction projects. Mike currently lives with his wife Fa near Big Bear Lake in the beautiful San Bernardino mountains.
