Dorothy and Thomas Hoobler have written nearly 100 books together, both fiction and nonfiction. Their first book featuring the samurai apprentice Seikei, The Ghost in the Tokaido Inn, was a finalist for the 2000 Edgar award, and the third book in the series, In Darkness, Death, won the prestigious award in 2005. The other books in the series have also received praise from critics and have appeared on numerous award lists. The seventh book in the series, The Red-Headed Demon, will be published in 2014.
