Kim R. Auker is from Altoona, Pennsylvania, where she lives with her two daughters. Her eldest daughter illustrates her books, while her youngest daughter is in charge of character creation. As a family team, they created the children's book, 'Professor Panda and the Punctuation Station - An Apostrophe Catastrophe.' Kim has had a love of writing, starting with poetry. Some of her works are published in 'Hard Freight,' a publication through The Pennsylvania State University. Aside from working on the Punctuation Station series, she is also releasing her first novel in the coming year. The inspiration to create 'Professor Panda and the Punctuation Station' stemmed from an observed need to strengthen the grammar skills of modern youth. Grammar is challenging for most of us but the times we live in are making it even more difficult. Correct grammar is becoming a lost art in a time where a large percentage of the words we use are abbreviated for the purpose of social media and text messaging. While we can't stop the social media and text message train from rolling, we can give children the strong grammar backbone they need. Kim hopes to help parents with the important task of instilling strong grammar skills through the adventures of the Punctuation Station.
