Synopsis

A new stagecoach came to Keystone in 1877 as the city was starting. It was the transportation and communications network of the day and without it the southern Black Hills of South Dakota could not have developed into the gold mining community it became famous for. Join Luke as he learns to build the Concord Stagecoach back east in the city of Concord and goes out west to find a new way of life struggling to establish the first stage coach in Keystone South Dakota.

À propos de l'auteur

Fred Brede was born and raised in Northern Wisconsin and as an Eagle Scout grew up walking the trails and canoeing the rivers like the Saint Croix and Chippewa. He went to school in Rice Lake, Wisconsin and graduated from The University of Wisconsin at Green Bay in 1976. He worked in the banking and finance industries for several years before retiring in 2008 and started writing books. Fred now lives in Osceola Wisconsin with his wife. He volunteers time at Wisconsin Interstate Park where he enjoys sharing his experiences with visitors who are exploring the Ice Age Trail and exploring the protected Saint Croix River Valley. He has hiked Isle Royal, the Ice Age Trail, the North Shore of Lake Superior and several portages connecting them. With his sons he hunted and fished the wilds of Wisconsin and learned most of his skills as a hunter from his Dad and grandfathers who lumbered, trapped and made a living from the land.
