This cunning collection from Stacy is bold and reminiscent of women everywhere. Unafraid to out-step boundaries and stereotypes, she has written each line with a brilliant determination to have her voice heard. From the trials of motherhood to the modern-day tragedies of teenage angst, Stacy will take you on a journey through a childhood of esoteric beginnings into a blossoming young woman on the verge of finding her place in this world. She speaks of losing (and finding) love, family devotion, maternal instincts, women's issues, and personal demons in words so rich you'll feel as if you've fallen into the pages of her world. This is a collection of poetry that everyone (especially every woman) can relate to. Miss Mar speaks of life and transgressions with such a brave, confessional voice that you'll feel you've accidentally overheard someone else's private conversation. As brutal as it is beautiful, you'll remember the words and life lessons of this piece of work long after the last page is turned.

Stacy Lynn Mar is an American poet and has authored six collections of poetry as well as a collection of creative writing prompts. She has been published widely in over 35 online and print magazines. Stacy was born in a small town in Eastern Kentucky, where she currently lives and writes. She attended Prestonsburg Community college, where she earned an associates degree in Human Services. She then transferred to a four-year private college, Lindsey Wilson, where she earned her Bachelors Degree of Science in Human Services with an emphasis on Mental Health Counseling. She earned her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and two certifications in Professional Counseling and Addiction Counseling from Capella University. Stacy also attended Ellis College of NYIT, where she worked towards a Bachelor of Arts in English/Literature. During her major author courses in college, she studied poets Sylvia Plath and Anne Sexton in depth. In fact, much of her writing style and voice was authenticated and adapted by the studying of contemporary poets such as Anne Sexton, Sylvia Plath, Sharon Olds, and Judy Grahn (to name only a few literary favorites) . Stacys writing style is confessional, raw, observant, and many of her poems pay homage to a past, an ancestry, a genealogical search for her own personal identity. She is also quote fond of coffee and the cosmos. She has mothered one daughter (whom she home schools) and lives with her life partner where she currently writes, works on her blogs, takes long walks, is learning to cook, and lives a peaceful, Bohemian lifestyle of Buddhism and simplicity. She dabbles in art (smash books, collage art, and digital art) and has an unhealthy obsession with indie music, coffee, classic movies, books, and vintage things. Stacy is the founder and editor of new online womens magazine/small independent press Pink.Girl.Ink and invites you to visit her at: http: //pinkgirlink.blogspot.com/ She also reviews books, shares her own dark gothic romance artwork/writings, (amongst other fun, creepy things) at her review blog: http: //gothicromancereviews.blogspot.com/ You can find a great deal of updated information, poetry, news, and contact info by visiting the following links: Official Personal Blog: http: //warningthestars.blogspot.com/ Official Author Page: http: //stacylynnmar.blogspot.com/ You can contact her personally at: prettypoetstacy@gmail.com
