À propos de l?auteur

The author, Sandra Cook, is a veteran homeschooling mom who homeschooled her Learning Abled Kids from 3rd grade through high school graduation. You can read about their remarkable homeschooling story on her LearningAbledKids.com website.

Sandy refers to herself as an "accidental homeschooler." She never planned on homeschooling, but public school wasn't working for her boys. Sandy started sharing what she was learning on her Learning Abled Kids website, and before she knew it, she was coaching with other homeschooling parents.

Over the past decade, Sandy has helped well over 1700 homeschooling families through her online support groups, her website, and one-on-one coaching. While homeschooling, Sandy also earned her Master's Degree in Instructional Design, where she focused on Universal Design for Learning and Learning Styles. She has learned a great deal about education and meeting the special education needs of twice exceptional, gifted, and children with learning disabilities.

Years of researching to find effective teaching methods and working with other parents of learning abled kids has given Sandy a unique, in-depth perspective on how to effectively meet the learning needs of children with learning disabilities. Now she shares much of what she knows through her books and website.
