Synopsis

Three Days with Mary is a collection of stories – Three Days with Mary, a novella, and three short stories; OCD in the Serengeti; Truths, Lies, and Contributions; and If You Don’t Mind. The stories deal with subjects as diverse (or connected) as religion, aging, sexism, and the value of truth.Three Days with Mary follows a young priest who feels compelled to defend his beliefs when he comes face to face with Mary Magdalene. In OCD in the Serengeti an aging rock star attempts to stay relevant without accepting the role of elder statesman. In Truths, Lies, and Contributions a gathering of old friends becomes the proving ground for a man who has never been sure of the relevance of truth. In If You Don’t Mind a job interview leads to an exercise in soul-searching when a man suddenly doubts the value of his experiences.
