Dr. Rodney and Ron Lewis are the founders of The Lewis Influence, an organization designed to give first generation college students the tools they need to be successful before, during, and after college. The mission of The Lewis Influence is to provide guidance and inspiration to first gen students throughout the world. Rodney and Ron, both first generation college students, received full basketball scholarships to play for St. Louis Community College at Meramec and Barry University. They both would graduate with their Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communication. Later, both would receive their Master's degree. Rodney earned two Master degrees, one in Teaching and the other in Educational Administration. In 2010, Rodney graduated from Maryville University with his doctorate in Educational Leadership. Ron is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Global Leadership with Indiana Tech University. Currently, Rodney is the principal of an elementary school in the Rockwood School District in St. Louis, Missouri. Ron is the Director for the TRiO Student Support Services program at University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, IN. This dynamic duo is passionate about the achievements and success of all first generation college students across the world.
