Always ready to reinvent herself, M L Carr has a background in theater with one play performed locally. Her experience with technical writing for local horse clubs and small publications over the years led her on to novel writing as a third vocation. She has spent her lifetime with animals. She teaches English riding and lives on a horse farm in Iowa with her husband and menagerie. Their three grown children are spread all over the country and cover the spectrum of careers from singing opera to engineering .
