The spirited, brave young ladies have to join together to battle shape-shifting animals, mythological monsters, and supernatural forces of nature on their quest for The Crest.

Rena Marthaler is a fourth grader living in Portland, Oregon with her two dogs. She wrote Magic: The Crest during the 2013 National Novel Writing Month, as part of NaNoWriMo's Young Writers Program. Magic: The Crest is her first novel.
