"Operation Armageddon is the first installment in the “Brotherhood of the Sword” trilogy. It begins the story of “The Brotherhood”. The evil swells from before the birth of Christ to present day in this first installment. Throughout the ages there have been men and women possessing hearts of pure evil. Adolf Hitler, Charles Manson, Jim Jones, Joseph Stalin, Belle Gunness, Irma Grese and Elizabeth Bathory are just a few that hold that place in history. Although the characters in this novel are fictitious the evil that they represent is real. When I first started to write what has now grown into “The Brotherhood of the Sword Trilogy” my goal was to write a simple mystery. During that process the characters began to take control of the story and out came this soon to be complete trilogy about true evil. I hope that you will enjoy the story laid out before you. It is the timeless struggle of good verses evil. I truly believe that in the end good will always triumph over the will of the adversary. If you don’t know who the adversary is or you choose to deny his existence you will be hard pressed to defend yourself against his assault. Between the pages of these three books you will learn who he is and what he wants. This story is fiction, but his goal is fact. In Franklin Roosevelt’s first inaugural address he said “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself”. In the case of The Brotherhood he was wrong, dead wrong. I would put the emphasis on “dead”.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a pilot. I had plans to join the Air Force. Just like the billboard in the movie “kuffs” said, “Life is what happens while you are making other plans”. I’ve been a sailor, a soldier, an auto mechanic, an aircraft electrician, an instrument technician, a carpenter, a hero, a villain, a playwright, a writer of fiction and about ten other things. But the most important things I have been are a husband, a father and a grandfather. The measure of a man is not the things that he does in the world but what he does within the walls of his own home.
