À propos de l'auteur

Kamran Hasni, M.D., graduated from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed his residency in internal medicine at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he also completed his Fellowship in Nephrology. Dr. Hasni is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, and has practiced medicine in different settings from big city hospitals to rural health facilities. Dr. Hasni has published numerous abstracts and papers. He has also published the first DVD on Interventional Nephrology Real time curriculum. As community based Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine, and an Adjunct faculty at Lincoln Memorial University, Dr. Hasni has extensive experience teaching medical students and nurses. Dr. Hasni was awarded the Compassionate Physician Award and On Time Doctor Award in 2009 and the Patient’s Choice Award in 2008, 2009 and 2013 Mary Perkins R.N., M.S.N., M.H.A., completed her Associate Degree in Nursing at Lincoln Memorial University. After working in the field of nursing for 10 years as a staff nurse and preceptor to nursing students, she went on to obtain a BSN from the University of Phoenix. She has just completed a MSN and a second Master’s degree in Health Care Administration. She plans to pursue a career in administration as well as teaching, while working toward her Doctorate in Nursing Practice. In her work as a patient care advocate, Mrs. Perkins has been awarded recognition as “Ambassador of Caring” for the hospital where she worked in 2005.
