Norman Ende, MD, Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, Captain Medical Corps, US Navy (retired) has served for 44 years as Navy medical reserve officer and participated with brother, late Dr. Milton Ende, in the first successful human umbilical cord blood transplant in 1971 – published in 1972. He has published over 100 scientific articles, many on the use of cord blood and has tried for over 10 years get the Federal Government to adopt a medical plan to treat the survivors of a nuclear blast with cord blood. This 2nd edition has a detailed plan which could save thousands of lives.
