Norman Ende, MD, Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, Captain Medical Corps, US Navy (retired) has served for 44 years as Navy medical reserve officer and participated with brother, late Dr. Milton Ende, in the first successful human umbilical cord blood transplant in 1971 – published in 1972.
