Robert J. Dantzler is a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina. He graduated from Claflin University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies and South Carolina State University with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in English Education. Dantzler began writing at the age of 16 in his leisure time and for school assignments. He initially began by writing poems that expressed his thoughts, feelings, and random things that happened around him. In addition to being an author and a poet, Dantzler is also a counselor, mentor, editor, writing coach, educator, and inspirational speaker. Dantzler likes to share experiences from his life to motivate and encourage others to strive towards their greatest potential regardless of circumstances. He believes that his experiences, gifts, and talents have very little to do with him, but everything to do with who God designed him to be for service to others. Dantzler currently resides in Washington, DC. A few of his hobbies include reading, writing, traveling, and using technology such as social media and text messaging to inspire others.
