It’s 2040, and the Earth is experiencing an apocalypse caused by global warming. After the intensifying of the worldwide drought from 2020 to 2025, and the plague of a mutated Ebola virus, few people are left. When the world economy collapsed in 2026, people organized themselves into agricultural cooperatives to produce food, usually with irrigation utilizing mined water. The Cajun COOP is running out of water and the warming climate will soon make it impossible for them to continue to grow crops. Colonel Frank Thibideaux, head of security for the Cajun COOP, is sent on a mission to contact other COOP’s and to travel to Canada, one of the few remaining nations, to see if the people of the COOP can move there. A previous expedition disappeared. Frank sets out on the dangerous journey to Canada with a military column of discovery, a futuristic wagon train of sorts. Frank is on his own journey, a journey to find redemption, but he does not know it. The column is manned by 100 hand picked technicians and fighting people. They overcome many obstacles in the journey, encountering bandits, strange religious cults, and zombie like people, etc., having to fight their way through some areas. The survivors finally arrive in Canada, but learn shocking news when they get there.
