Synopsis

Leigh Spencer explores daily life in her irreverent, inimitable style of free verse poetry in this first published collection of her work, “Tequila and Cookies”. In poems that are often amusing, sometimes blunt, sometimes vulgar, Leigh uses her gift of storytelling to expertly craft ordinary words into incredibly poignant works that are filtered through an anxious personality, a sharp sense of humor, and sometimes through a disturbing imagination. “Tequila and Cookies” contains a big scoop of the universal truths of life that will touch your heart and leave you wanting more, all written with a spoonful of humility, and topped with the cherry of humanity.
