À propos de l?auteur

Arthur Benjamin is a professor of mathematics at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California and is past editor of Math Horizons magazine. He has received numerous awards for his teaching and writing, and has written several books, including Secrets of Mental Math where he reveals his secrets for doing lightning fast mental arithmetics. He has also created four video courses for The Great Courses. Dr. Benjamin has appeared on many television and radio programs, including The Today Show, CNN, The Colbert Report, and National Public Radio. He has been profiled in The New York Times, USA Today, Scientific American, Discover, Omni, Espquire, Wired, and People Magazine. Reader's Digest calls him "America's Best Math Whiz." Natalya St. Clair double majored in studio art and mathematics at Scripps College. She combined her passions for both subjects to illustrate The Art of Mental Calculation, which is her first published book. She has taught middle school math for seven years and has been an award-winning MATHCOUNTS coach in Illinois. She has served as a contributing member of numerous outreach programs, including the Machine Project, Illinois Geometry Laboratory, MATHCOUNTS, and the Independent Schools Association of the Central States.
