Synopsis
This book is not about retirement, and how you should live after retirement, but it is based on the fact that there are many people who have retired, but apparently have been forgotten, and you wonder what might have happened. Even though I have retired, I want my life to count for God, and this book is a collection of a few of my sermons that I have preached over the years. These sermons are put together, and I trust they will be a blessing to you. Now that I have retired, I am limited in the things that I do, but the word of God lives on, and so I just want to share God's word in this book, "Retired But Not Forgotten." If I can help somebody as I continue my Christian journey, then my living would not be in vain. Be courageous, stand for the truth, and preach, preach, preach.

À propos de l?auteur
Derrick M. Thompson, Sr. was born in Jamaica, West Indies, the second of five siblings born to Luther and Floribel Thompson now deceased. He is married to the former Isolyn Dennis of Jamaica, West Indies, and they have three children, Karen, Derrick, Jr. and Duvol. Derrick is an ordained minister of the Church of God with head office in Anderson, Indiana. He is a retired pastor of The First Church of God in Harvey, Illinois, where he served for eighteen and a half years as senior pastor. He received his early education in Jamaica, and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Dyke College in Cleveland, Ohio; Masters of Divinity from Christian International Graduate School, and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Ministry from International Bible College and Seminary. He was listed in the third edition of "Marquis Who's Who in Religion," He wrote his first book in 2013, "Take A Walk With Me," and it is available on Amazon and Kindle Electronic Media.
