Martin R. Boughner has been around and involved in the heating and air conditioning industry all of his life. His grandfather, Ralph Bruce, owned Jampolis Coal Company in Chicago. A premier coal and fuel oil delivery company. A few years after Patricia Bruce married Wesley Boughner, Wes began to work full time for his father-in-law learning the business from the ground up. When Marty was old enough, his father, Wes, would take him to work. Marty still remembers riding in the coal truck for deliveries and unloading frozen coal train cars in the middle of winter. Marty’s father went on to become the service manager for Lund Coal then Liquid Fuels and finally to own his own service company R.B.C. Automatic Heating. Marty would ride with his father on late night and weekend service calls holding the flashlight and watching. When he got into the business his father made him start by sweeping the shop floor, eventually working up to Precision Tune Ups, service calls, installations and then sales. There is no aspect of this industry that Marty has not tried or been a part of.
