"Many people make plans for months, even years and their plans never come to fruition. Money has been saved, reservations are made, prayers are offered, motivations stabilized and then comes the day to leave home and come to the Kalachakra, " he paused, then, "something happens. Someone becomes sick, someone has an unexpected visitor or some mishap befalls someone. And they might have gotten underway, but if they are not meant to be here something will happen to reverse their course. It could be anything but something happens and their plans must be put aside for another time." That would explain the two vacant seats, either side of me, that never felt the warmth of a seekers butt for nearly two weeks........ With great resolve an old biker made the pilgrimage on his 23 year old Moto Guzzi motorcycle named Mofo or ol' Mo. This is not about the Kalachakra, it's about the getting there and getting home, with just a little about being there. With meager funds and less gas, the old biker made it over several mountain passes, across the Great Divide, the Great Planes and many a great river and stream, to sit at the feet of the Dalai Lama and help bring peace to this troubled world. Seeking salvation at the Kalachakra, the old biker and his bike found just as much salvation on the road to and from.
