Lucas Kitchen, the son of a locally known painter, was around the arts from a young age. He grew up in the piney woods of East Texas and played an active role in the music scene up through his college years. Through a number of different avenues, Lucas found different ways to be involved in story telling. As a film writer/director, he has had a number of films play at film festivals across the country. He has been a writer for hire on commercial projects for a number of years, but, after years of writing for others, he decided it was time that he step into the wild world of fiction. His first book (World Builder) was released in 2013. His second release (Divine Children) is slated for early 2014. He is now working on his third book which is, as of yet, untitled. He lives with his wife and two cats in Longview TX.
