Tom Jackson, a handsome traveling salesman from Texas, steps off the train in quaint Magnolia, Mississippi. It is 1923 and life in the South is good. Tom came to town to peddle his wares and move on. He was not expecting to set eyes on Miss Mary Abbott. Something so sweet and intriguing about his young lady finds Tom returning to Magnolia, courting her and asking the sassy little sales clerk for her hand in marriage. Their love grows strong and they will depend on this love to get them through the difficult years of the Great depression, raising a family and setting strong examples of enduring love and faith for their children. As the years pass, their eldest daughter, Janie, faces devastating news. Will Tom and Mary's faith and love prove strong enough to see their daughter through this trying time?
