Synopsis

Tom Jackson, a handsome traveling salesman from Texas, steps off the train in quaint Magnolia, Mississippi. It is 1923 and life in the South is good. Tom came to town to peddle his wares and move on. He was not expecting to set eyes on Miss Mary Abbott. Willie Latane Barton was born in Alabama and draws from her experience growing up during the Great Depression to write this story of Tom and Mary Jackson. Mrs. Barton was married to her husband, Elbert Barton, for sixty years. They had five children. She is also the author of "Tracks of A Bold Doe". She resides presently in Suffok, Va.
