Synopsis

A simple act of kindness transposes Stephen into the world of Christ and his saints on the road to Armageddon. From the craps table to texting and surrounded by a reality that drives him from ancient times to a contemporary terror, Jesus is confronted by the world’s unrequited love and the humor of mortal folly. Unwillingly enlisted as death's coachman, Stephen is psychologically tossed from one dimension to another and threatened by both the ambiguity and the manipulation of words. He must marshal all of his wit, faith and strength to battle for Earth’s continued existence. This alternative history moves from a philosophical commentary to religious introspection, and weaves together historical personages, world religions and philosophies into a poignant epiphany.

À propos de l?auteur

Muggsy Walnut Hides in the high Sierras near Lake Tahoe. He was born in the desert below the book cliffs, thus his love of water and the mountains. Raised in a lion’s den by a mutt with herding instincts, he learned that sometimes euthanasia is the kindest thing. So, within the context of shooting the dog that raised him, this book makes complete sense. With the stigma of intelligence one is born to lose. His goal out of Boarder Star Middle School was to become a bum. What better than to sit around and imagine a world that has something perfect at its center? Having almost starved to death, philosophy soon lost its allure because of Descartes’ Cotigo Ergo Sum; I think therefore I am, so I don’t need food to exist in college. However, psychology was able to teach him that whatever man believes of himself the planet has another idea. Therefore, in the world of logic, there is only one equivalence: the most difficult of truths dwell within love; the most difficult expression of love dwells within truth. With this understanding, his analysis of poetry and stories kept him in trouble with his writing professors such that they dubbed him, “crazy but not wrong.”
