Donna Ball wrote with Shannon Harper (deceased) under the pseudonyms Taylor Brady and Leigh Bristol during the 1990s. Shannon Harper retired shortly after the completion of The Kincaids but Donna Ball continues to write today and is the author of the popular Ladybug Farm, Raine Stockton Dog Mysteries and The Hummingbird House series.
