Synopsis

This second volume of poetry in the collection is similar to the first- it comes from my unique and humanity-based perspective- but it also takes an unexpected emotional turn. During the time after putting out the first volume, I met a woman, who I had a very powerful attraction to. The feeling at least did not come across as mutual, but many of the thoughts, emotions, and other senses I had towards her came through as poetry. So, as well as containing broad humanistic messages, this volume also has a more personal expression regarding a few months I spent with this other person I was passionate for.Life is an uncertain journey if you allow it to be. That uncertainty is filled with challenges- most of which you won't win- but if you care about life enough it will always be worth it anyway.

À propos de l?auteur

Instead of telling you all about me, since you can read about that on my website and where my other books are sold, I'll tell you a little bit about the year this book was written. As I mentioned, I met a woman, but in fact I actually met three. The one who inspired many of the poems in this book, is no longer in my life, but the other two are. I became good friends with them in fact. Other than meeting these people, and spending time with them, I did very little writing and work during 2013 (slap wrist). 'So... what a non-progressive year right?' WRONG! Even going out with a woman I desired intimately, without any of it being reciprocated, helped me as a person. It helped me because it was a mistake I wasn't used to making; a new mistake to make. It helped me because in the end, I realized how weak I can be, in regards to the opposite sex, so I now am able to exhibit at least somewhat more control. In terms of the other two women I met, the experiences with them have done exponentially more. Like I mentioned, they are both very good friends. Because going out, and spending time with other humans was never something I was used to, that new experience alone has been life-changing. But meeting two people who clearly enjoy my company and humanity is priceless for someone as reserved and alone as I used to be. It has given me the opportunity to open up and share my desires, fears, emotions, thoughts, memories, and feelings; something that we all want and deserve. 'I know, there should be more poems about them... there's always volume three.' That made 2013 a VERY progressive year, after 20 before it where I was too scared to do such a thing. So thank you to those two close friends and everyone I've met.
