Synopsis

Twenty-one-year-old journalism student Keira wanted a big scoop, and now she's got the story of a lifetime. Too bad she's light-years away from the nearest newsroom.

When their investigation into a hit-and-run takes an ugly turn, Keira and her streetwise buddy Dylan decide to get out of town. They hole up on the farm of their mutual friend Albert, an eccentric genius and astronomy aficionado.

When Albert's astronomical equipment records a message from deep space, it unfolds a chain of events that ends with the trio of friends hurtling away from earth toward an unknown destination.

As their journey progresses, Keira, Dylan, and Albert find themselves with more questions than answers. Why select them out of all humanity? Who are their abductors? Why won't their captors reveal themselves? And, most urgently, why does the most vicious civilization in the galaxy suddenly want them dead?

A Mediterranean guy, graduated from engineering and having a passion for technology, moved to a tropical island following the love of his life. Owner of a successful consulting corporation for more than a decade and always willing to challenge his mind, he became a science fiction author.

Blanes now lives in Puerto Rico with his wife and two children. He loves sharing his passion for science and traveling with his family in a fun and entertaining manner.
