This is certainly the case with the author of this book, who in his Twitter profile describes himself as “European by birth, American by philosophy.” A blogger, a teacher (until a few years ago), a writer, S. R. Piccoli lives in the Venice area, Italy, with his wife, his daughter, and their dog. In December 2012 he published Blessed Are the Contrarians: Diary of a Journey Through Interesting Times.
