After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Tulsa, Darren embarked on a career that has crossed several industries as well as continents. Darren’s early career was in the IT industry selling advertising and marketing services to some of the IT industry’s biggest players including Dell Computer and Compaq Computer (now known as Hewlett-Packard). Darren left the IT industry to partner with two friends, starting a training company based Southwest Airlines principles. After a successful launch, Darren and his family felt called to give a little back to society so they moved to Sofia, Bulgaria, where Darren became headmaster of a small English-speaking school. Four years later, Darren and his family returned to the U.S. and founded NexGen Leadership, a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching leadership and life skills to high school and college students. While still leading NexGen, Darren later joined a leading auto finance company, first as Director of Employee Development and then transitioning to VP Culture & Engagement. After spending two years with this organization, Darren was driven to launch yet another new business, ProCulture Consulting which he still leads today. Darren is uniquely qualified to write and teach about the Millennial generation. Darren is the father of three Millennial boys, has worked with many Millennials, and studies the Millennial generation as part of his NexGen work. Whether working with managers or talking to directly to Millennials, Darren’s entertaining and personable style allows him to connect and engage with his audience.
