Dead Fish Stink Kevin and Mark admire the mounted bass hanging on Grandpa’s wall. They decide to dry the sunfish they caught and mount it so they’d have one just like Grandpa’s. Of course, the sunfish is much smaller than Grandpa’s bass and drying it leads to one disaster after another. What happens when they leave it in their bed? How does it smell? Will bleach help with the odor—or will it create another problem? Aftershave will certainly help with any odor problems. Or will it? In the middle of dealing with their fish problem Aunt Martha comes for a visit. What does that mean for the boys? And how will they deal with Jeff, their curious little brother? Travel with Kevin and Mark as they learn about the perils of drying a fish and of not telling the truth. Learn how they solve their problem.

Norma Jean Saiter grew up on the plains of eastern Colorado and attended one-room schools for grades one through eight. She developed a vivid imagination as she entertained herself while exploring every corner of the farm and nearby prairie. Her respect and love for animals grew as they became her playmates. Norma retired after fulfilling her dream of teaching both children and teachers in Colorado and Aruba. Writing about her childhood grew out of her desire to give her students first hand information about life and education in a time gone by. Her first book was published in 2000. This is the last book in the “Sonja” series. Currently, she is writing a memoir that takes the reader through the joys, frustrations, and victories in the classroom titled “The Glory Days of Education.” Norma lives in Fort Morgan, Colorado with her husband, George, and adopted son, Jeremiah, and a collection of pets.
