It investigates what the apostle Paul has to say in his letters about God's judgment. John R. Coulson is Deputy Principal and Lecturer in Bible at Brisbane School of Theology in Australia. He has been lecturing in biblical studies since 1997.

Mike Bird is a Lecturer in theology at Ridley Melbourne in Australia. He is the author of The Saving Righteousness of God, Jesus is the Christ, A Bird's-Eye View of Paul, 1 Esdras, and he is editor of the New Covenant Commentary Series published by Cascade. This is his first novel.
