Synopsis

In an ancient Egyptian world, from a time of abject slavery and oppression of the Israelites emerges a legend of two phenomenal women that history has overlooked. The birth of Moses, the brief account of the acclaimed leader who eventually led the people of Israel out of bondage under Pharaoh, has been retold for centuries. This well-known tale appears in children's storybooks as a happy event on the River Nile. But the women whose courage, sacrifice and unending passion that made Moses' life possible have been disregarded over time. This is their story. The Mothers of Moses is a story of true faith, of diligent perseverance, and of unrelenting courage drawing on the strength of Israel's mighty God. From a time in history that records the commands of Pharaoh as he exerts pressure on the Israelites to stem their numbers, and that introduces us to Moses simply as the 'baby drawn from the river', we find hidden the tale of The Mothers of Moses. Two women, from polar ends of the social strata, come together and bring into reality a supernatural shift that changed the course of history forever.
