Synopsis

A transformational approach to conflict argues that conflicts must be viewed as embedded within broader relational patterns and social and discursive structures. Thomas G. Matyók is associate professor and head of the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.

Ian M. Borton is professor of communication at Aquinas College.

Gregory D. Paul is professor and head of the department of communication studies at Kansas State University.

Mary Adams Trujillo, PhD, is emeritus professor of intercultural communication and conflict transformation at North Park University. She is a co-founder of the Practitioners Research and Scholarship Institute and co-edited the anthology Re-Centering Culture and Knowledge in Conflict Resolution Practice. She conducts programs in intercultural dialogue and spiritual practice in community settings.
