Andrew Wells Garnar earned his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech.

Ashley Shew is assistant professor at Virginia Tech in the Department of Science, Technology, and Society.

Nicholas Rescher is distinguished university professor of philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh. In a research career extending over six decades, he has published over three hundred articles and written over a hundred philosophy texts, including A System of Pragmatic Idealism, The Limits of Science, Conditionals, Philosophical Reasoning: A Study in the Methodology of Philosphizing, Enlightening Journey: The Autobiography of an American Scholar, and Unknowability: An Inquiry Into the Limits of Knowledge.

James H. Collier is Associate Professor of Science and Technology in Society at Virginia Tech. He is the Executive Editor of Social Epistemology and the Founding and Acting Editor of the Social Epistemology Review and Reply Collective,www.social-epistemology.com.

Joseph C. Pitt is Professor of Philosophy and of Science and Technology Studies at Virginia Tech, where he has taught since 1971. He is the author of four books, edited or co-edited twelve additional volumes and published over 100 articles and book reviews. He and his wife, Donna, live on their Virginia farm, Calyddon, where they raise horses and Irish Wolfhounds.
