David Heller and David Johns first met as freshman at Harvard in 1975. They soon became fast friends, roomed together for three years in college, and have now been close friends for nearly forty years. David Heller is the author of twenty-two prior books, including the recent THE 200 MOST IMPORTANT THINGS KIDS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE (with Jared Heller) and IF MY MOM AND DAD HAD SAILED ON THE MAYFLOWER, THAT OL' SHIP WOULD HAVE SUNK! Earlier works about children's views of the world include: DEAR GOD: CHILDREN'S LETTERS TO GO and LOVE IS LIKE A CRAYON BECAUSE IT COMES IN ALL COLORS! He resides in Massachusetts. David Johns has worked intensively with children and young adults throughout his professional career. As an educational consultant, he has helped young people with mild to severe learning difficulties achieve impressive success. As director of departments that counsel students with learning challenges, he has developed curriculum and strategies at the college, high school and grammar school levels. In addition to facilitating academic development, he helps students with their social challenges and development. He divides his time between Rhode Island and Delaware.
