Biographie de l'auteur

Tobias George Smollett (Dalquhurn, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, March 19, 1721 - Livorno, 17 November 1771), British physician, writer, translator, historian, journalist and brewer. His work includes novels, history books, translations and political essay. Roderick Random is the first and best known of his novels. His History of England is usually printed next to Hume's. His translation of Don Quixote was able to maintain much of the humor of the original. As for his lyric, highlights Ode to Leven Water (Ode to lightning water).
