This book, Expect and Experience Miracles, is drawn from one of Steve’s presentations to Catholic groups in this country and abroad—one he considers the most important message he’s been given to preach to all God’s children. The book reflects Steve’s grounding in Scripture and authentic desire to serve God by serving others. Before listening to Steve’s presentation on expecting and experiencing miracles, I had a passing acquaintance with them, but really didn’t consider direct divine interventions an integral part of my life. God has bigger miraculous fish to fry for really dire situations, perilous crises and truly deserving souls. I’m just a middle-aged woman with a good husband and four grown children simply trying to put one spiritual foot in front of the other on the faith journey of life. But, as Steve testifies in this book, miracles aren’t just for the “saintly or holy people.” Miracles are meant for me and you—and the butcher, baker and candlestick maker, the postal carrier, late night diner fry cook, the star athlete, the computer whiz and the Fortune 500 CEO, the dog-walker and the space lab astronaut. Each and every one of us on God’s beautiful blue marble of a planet are recipients of God’s miracles. And, as Steve tells us, some of these divine interventions are spectacular and jaw-dropping, while others are sweetly simple, but important at the moment (like making the green light when late for an important meeting). But big, small or medium in scope, each of us can expect and experience miracles if we have open hearts, faith and trust in God. Steve helps us do exactly that.
