Synopsis

Like most of her colleagues, Holly has no idea that she is at risk, because it is simply not talked about. If you read the first three novels in the series, Holly’s disorder comes as no surprise. But this chapter in her life is about more than her struggle to survive “the black dog.” (In Holly’s case, it’s a big, malevolent cat.) This is also a sad love story between Holly and a beautiful nurse she discovers in therapy. If she overcomes these challenges and survives, it will be because of the support provided by a new ally, her therapist, and her own grit, humor, and power to learn from the way people love and hurt each other.

J.C. Anderson is a published writer, a business development consultant, and an award-winning corporate communications manager and writer. He is the author of eight books, including the Holly Goforth Quartet, a coming of age series of four novels, GIRTY: The Legend, Free Love: Cultivating the Garden of Eden in America, The Wages of Gin, a satire of the memoir genre, “Crisis: Our Potable Water Supply,” which he wrote in collaboration with a client company, and more than 100 journal articles. He is the founder of Amazing Adventures, Inc., developer of training software, and Test Central, Inc. (www.test.com). Mr. Anderson holds the patents for administering assessments on the Internet. He presently serves as managing director of Concepts & Messages, Inc. (www.conceptsandmessages.com), an integrated marketing communications firm.
