As an author of speculative fiction, Jack looks at the world and wonders, "What if...?" A part of that wondering is analyzing current trends. The rest of it is pure imagination, unbounded by mundane limits. It's the 'What about....' followed by, 'Yep, that could work!' You'll find some of that on the blogs, some of it in the books, but also on Facebook. You can find Jack at https://www.facebook.com/Jack.Knapp.Sir.Jochen. You can find tips on writing on the jacklknapp blog too, also on Jack's FB author's page, https://www.facebook.com/Jack-L-Knapp-456875297748593/ Soldier, teacher, author, hobbyist; Jack's past experiences find their way into his books. He has an imagination with few boundaries. Jack uses that imagination extensively, particularly in his New Frontiers Series. By contrast, imagination figures in his Darwin's World series but there's also tons of personal experience. When Jack describes chipping flint, he's done it. He's set traps, made and used ropes, raised horses, spent a lot of time in the deep woods. The Wizards Series is about wish fulfillment. Who wouldn't want to find buried treasure, move huge objects, fly, and do in bad guys? With side journeys into saving lives and fighting wildfires? As for Jack's novella, Hands, expect everything from grins to belly laughs. And then there's the stand-alone short story, Ants, which offers a different view of where the New Frontiers Series might have gone. Jack is currently working on BEMs: Bug Eyed Monsters, the fourth installment in the New Frontiers Series. After that, depending on his own creative mood, it will be the next Wizards book (the main character is trapped in time, part of the US Army's World War I AEF that ended up in Siberia during the Russian Revolution. Yes, it really happened) or the next Darwin book. A science fiction/survivalist's series has morphed into hard-science fiction, and there's another book needed to continue the transition.
