Synopsis

Within each Tom Swift novel there are a couple major characters who you get to know, and a lot of secondary characters who walk in, say a few lines, and walk out. You never get the chance to know who they are other than in that context. I have set about writing back stories for these people. The novels may not have the 9,000 - 15,000 words to devote to giving you a good background story about them, but these collections do. This first book contains stories about the original Tom Swift's wife, Mary Nestor, and her diary entries from their honeymoon, a story where ranch chef Chow Winkler gets challenged to a cooking contest, one story about Enterprises' security chief and his assistant as they solve an international blackmail incident aimed at their boss, another is a university lecture given by George Dilling, head of Communications, and finally a book about young Tom Swift and his very proud father.

À propos de l'auteur

T. Edward Fox is the author of nearly two-dozen short and novella-length stories dealing with both the individual characters in the world of Tom Swift as well as over two-dozen tales of the famous young inventor's inventions. In early 2014 he completed his 14th Tom Swift novel and has 3 more coming in the next year or so. He is, like a lot of authors of series like Tom Swift, is a pseudonym. Unlike a lot of series, he is a he and is a single person. Well, he is married, but is just one person. See? Mr. Fox was comes from a background in the computer industry and steadfastly refuses to admit to having a Doctorate in Computer Sciences from a major university using the initials ITM, but not in that order. He co-authored of an enormously popular computer book back in the late 1990s—it went into a third printing which was pretty unheard of back then. His military career was distinguished and can not be spoken of in polite company. Almost all of the interesting facts and details found in his stories come from deep research, personal experience or were lifted wholesale from Wikipedia. You guess.
