As I sit here and get ready to put pen to paper I can only pray that God works through the words that are being written. I pray that this book falls into the hands of a teenager that feels unloved, the man who may be about to abandon his family or even the woman that has just endured another beating from her husband. I hope this book can prevent even one person from filling the empty spaces in their heart with drugs, alcohol or satisfaction from worldly success. My hope is that through this book they will come to realize that only God can fill those empty spaces.

Scott Thorson's life is displayed for all to see in this book about his struggles to be set free from things that tried to take him out at a very young age. He has lived a life of struggle as he missed his murdered mother and sister by the hands of his step-father who then committed suicide. This left young Scott to live with a man who was his biological dad, but he didn't know him or his new family. Then his life teeters on the brink of destruction through drugs, alcohol and women-for-a-day, a taste of wealth and a touch of fame-for-a day, gave our enemy the more opportune time to try to destroy yet another way. Even a marriage with children couldn't reach deep enough to save his life from self-destructing. When all seemed lost and hopeless yet again, he decided to turn to Jesus. That was the empty space he had in his heart the entire time. This is one of the most determined young men on the planet. I assure you, if he could not kick self-destruction without Jesus, neither can anyone. Jesus is the only force who can combat the demons of hell thrown at you from a young age on. Love is the key and when you get the real love poured in from Jesus, you will find Scott living a life of victory now. He spends his time telling people about his story and encourages people that they too can beat the self-destruction... and he is a living example of victory on every hand through Jesus Christ.
