Synopsis

In a quiet, upscale neighborhood just outside Kansas City, Missouri, there is an unthinkable secret—and eleven-year-old Devin Holloway is pretty sure that he knows what it is. After observing his American-born neighbor engaging in what he perceives as an unlikely conversation with a man of middle-Eastern descent, Devin decides to take action and enlists his sixty-two-year-old widowed neighbor, Fay Gillison, as his reluctant compatriot. In his quest to uncover what turns out to be an imminent plan to devastate America’s Heartland, Devin—and Fay’s—efforts to prove his theory escalate into a harrowing race against time between a well-educated, technically brilliant and extremely focused jihadist group and an equally determined young boy.
