Imagine growing up in a single parent home in which your mother tirelessly worked but still had the time to provide guidance and motivation; no matter how hard you tried to rebel? That was the life of Patrick Irvine. Being the youngest and the only boy has its perks and its downfalls. But his mother instilled in him a “can-do” attitude. In spite of this, his early life was riddled with teenage angst, run-ins with the law, trouble in school, and even a teen aged pregnancy. All of this coupled with the longing to belong to something bigger led Patrick to join the Air Force straight out of high school. Little did he know how much the can-do attitude taught by his mother, matched by the leadership and teamwork learned in the military would help serve an even greater purpose. Fast forward to 2009 and Patrick is now out of the military and working in the civilian workforce as a business owner, consultant, and supervisor. In the next 3 years he would oversee over 20 different major operations, supervise over 200 different people, and manage the movement of over 300 million dollars in products and services. Now let us fast forward to the year August 2011. Take the phrase “see a need fill a need” from the Disney animated feature Robots paired with the desire to help others and the book “Think Free Be Free” comes to life. The book was an attempt to use Patrick’s life lessons as inspiration and motivation for people of all ages. He wanted to help people achieve their dreams in their personal life as well as in their careers. Now in the year 2012, with help, Patrick made a bold move. How do most people obtain information in this age of smart phones, ipods and ipads, and the internet? They download and listen. “Think Free Be Free” the audio book is born! A labor of love that compounds on the ideas from the first book, the audio version seeks to enact a change in people’s way of thinking. Simply put: You must think free to be free. Patrick studied Industrial and Organizational Psychology and is recognized as an expert on attitude and perspective, a certified master life coach and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. This led to the formation of Think Free Be Free LLC; a company built on the same principles as the book and audio program and on the ideal that his message and teachings can help anyone in any aspect of their life.
